Yanagi House

Set on the edge of Hirafu, Yanagi House is the perfect retreat for families wanting expansive space. 2.5km from the center of Hirafu, the 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home offers unrivalled privacy and tranquility in a beautiful forested setting. The unapologetically modern home was plucked from the brilliant minds of Hikohito Konishi Architects & Associates out of Sapporo then brought to life by Fukushima Constructions in 2016. Straight, sharp and angled design cues accentuate the exterior of this visually-striking cabin in the woods. Floor to ceiling windows in the living areas ensure completely unobstructed views of the ever changing seasonal tapestry in the beautiful forest surrounds.
The upper floor features a massive balcony that encourages getting even closer to the greenery during the cool summer months. Spacious, open treed areas around the home offer worry-free family time in nature. Inside, the beautifully appointed furnishings and spacious living and dining areas are tied together by a gas fireplace to cozy up to during the colder months. The theme of expansive space continues throughout the house with large windows allowing plenty of natural light in as well as a separate media room downstairs. The feature list of creature comforts is rounded off by a fully-equipped western-style kitchen and an internal garage.
